I'm Crawling!!!!

Today we were hanging out in our bedroom, and we caught Maddie crawling!!! It's more of a belly crawl right now, but still a crawl none-the-less. Time to go buy some baby gates!!!

Sharing Puffs with Daddy

Madeline is very good at sharing. At least it seems that way, she was having a blast sharing some puffs with Brad the other day and it was too cute to not snap some photos. We've also introduced her to the Gerber lil' crunchies. They are basically cheese curls for babies, and quite yummy if I do say so myself, and Maddie seems to love them even though she did give me a pretty funny face the first time she tried them

A Day in the Life of Maddie...at Daycare

A few weeks ago I dropped off our camera with Maddie at daycare and asked her teachers to grab a few photos. It had been a while since I had done this and figured it was about time to get some new shots of Maddie and her friends. I uploaded them onto my computer and then promptly forgot about them. See Kai Run....

I have been looking for some shoes for Maddie when she starts walking, since she has only has about 2 pair once I pack away all of her 0-6 month shoes. And I found these See Kai Run shoes on SUPER SALE at Piperlime...how cute are these? And, I found them for $16.99! Craziness, I also found the black ones at the bottom on another site, but they weren't on sale :(

Madeline has something to say to everyone...

Madeline has been talking up a storm lately, and I must say it's the cutest thing. She's also on the verge of crawling any day. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks away and almost takes that "step" and then decides to roll instead. We'll be there soon, I know it.

Here she is talking up a storm while eating some puffs. Look closely, at the end of the video you can kind of see her first tooth (it's on the bottom).

A Tooth!!!

So about a week ago Madeline's first tooth started to break through her gums! Finally! I completely forgot to write about it, but her second front tooth is already starting to pop up as well!

Father's Day Cookies!

Today Maddie and I decided to make Brad some Father's Day cookies, just a bit early. Chocolate Chip are his favorites, so while he was out playing soccer, Maddie and I got to work. Maddie was a huge help and they turned out fantastic if I do say so myself :)

Helping Mommy with Her Birthday Gifts

So mommy turned the big 2-9 on Thursday, it was kind of uneventful until Grandma Ayres showed up with some great gifts for mommy. I figured I would get my practice helping mommy open her gifts, after all it is only a few months until I turn one. AH!

Weekend in Deep Creek Md.

This past weekend had had the pleasure of spending it in Deep Creek Md. We had a great weekend with all of our friends we never get to see! Plus, it was the first time for Maddie to meet most of them! Here are some photos from the weekend.

My sister Sarah and my brother-in-law Mark have two adorable puppies, Winston and Annie. Annie is the newest of the family and we think still under a year old, she was a rescue. So, you would think that Winston would be able to put Annie in her place every now and then? Not so my friends, not so. Poor Winston gets beat up by Annie several times a week, Annie gets her puppy sharp nails and scratches Winston's baby-soft belly, leaving what look like razor scars.

The latest is that Annie decided to chew up Winston's $30 collars. And she chewed all of them off of him while he was wearing them. I can just see it, Winston pinned to the floor, while Annie is laughing and chewing off his collar. Poor thing.

Here are a few photos Mark took of the damage...What a stinker! And as Sarah has said "Can you believe that? Now Winston has to go around naked." Perfect...Annie, you have officially been called out!

Teething Biscuits

I can finally start to feel the top of Maddie's first tooth coming through! In turn, I decided to give her a chance at some teething biscuits. I knew they were going to be messy, so I stripped her down and let her go at it. She seemed to like it, though wasn't too impressed one way or the other. Here are some photos from start to finish...notice how much messier she gets in each photo.

Pool Time!

Yesterday we took Maddie on her first trip to the pool, which I am sure is the first of many. We spent a good bit of the afternoon there, had some lunch and played in the water! I had no doubt that Maddie would love the pool since bath time is always so fun for her. The first time we put her in the water it was like no big deal! She loved it, and only took a tumble in the baby pool once! Ooops! But even after that she didn't cry. I think we might have a little fishy on our hands. As usual I took way too many photos, so instead of posting a ton, here is a link to the ones I've uploaded on Ofoto, and a video of her first time in the big pool. She kept trying to drink the water...silly girl!

Whine Connoisseur

The Avent Pacifiers were put on hold today due to constant Teething Crankiness...instead we opted for this one "Whine Connoisseur." Mommy helped fulfill the pacifier prophecy by drinking several glasses of "wine" tonight. Ugh, let's hope these teeth come through soon. Enough already!

Swing Time!

Today we finally got a chance to get Maddie in the swing for the first time! We have been talking about getting a swing for the house for a few weeks, and today Brad came home with one! Once we got it hung, Maddie was having a blast! She was all smiles as we pushed her back and forth. Too cute. One of our best investments yet! Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mark will have lots of fun with Madeline in this when they get to spend the weekend with her in July!

Puffs Please!

Today when I picked up Maddie from Day Care she was sitting at the big girl table and guess what? She was eating Cheerios! We haven't started Maddie on any of these foods only because she doesn't have any teeth, but day care gave Maddie some Cheerios to play with and she ended up eating quite a few of them. So, while at the grocery store today we picked up the banana puffs for Maddie, and she loves them! She's already had a handful of them this evening. My little girl is getting so big. Please slow down, please?

Happy Graduation Justin!

This weekend we had the pleasure of heading to Parkersburg, WV to watch Justin Graduate from high school! Brad, myself and Maddie could not have been more proud watching him walk across the stage and accepting his diploma. As they say, the end of one chapter, and the beginning of a new one. Congrats Justin!
