Work...Cover Girl...Work it girl...

Give a twirl, do your thing on the Runway....(Commence song playing in your head now).

Okay, not really, but a few days ago, Madeline and I headed down to Philadelphia for a photo shoot. I know, crazy right? A girlfriend of mine that I used to work with asked me to turn in a few photos to a modeling agency that her friend works for...a bit confusing I know. Anyway, I sent a few photos a while back, and within a few weeks, Madeline landed her first gig with Babies R Us!

The shoot didn't go quite so well, she had several major meltdowns, so the fact that they used any of her photos I am quite surprised. Though I will tell you, it looks like they Photoshopped the begeses out of her face (see photo below). YIKES! We supposedly get a disk of all of the photos in one week or two. I am surprised that it went up that fast. Here is the link to the out fit.

It is pretty appropriate that they put her in the "Shopping with Mommy" outfit, since right after the shoot we headed over to KOP for some shopping and a great lunch with Aunt Jessica!

Hellooooooooo

I decided to try and capture a photo of Madeline and I before we left for the day. And as soon as I held up the camera she started waving. Little ham.

Sequence of a Forward Roll

I know I've been posting a lot of these collage things, but it does help so I don't have to do one-zillion posts, yes that is a word. :) This collage dates back to Thanksgiving when Aunt Sarah was gracious enough to teach Miss. Madeline her first forward roll. They both did great, and Madeline fully enjoyed it. I love the tongue in the first photo and how proud she is of herself by the last few. Thanks Aunt Sarah, maybe we can do it again this weekend!

An Oldie But a Goodie

This has always been one of my favorite photos. I found it again looking back through some old photos. It tugs at those heartstrings of mine. In turn, I thought it deserved to be revisited again, with just a few upgrades to the photo.

Play Date

Thank you for the play date Olivia! We had so much fun, let's do it again soon!

Checkin' things out

Madeline loves checking things out through our backdoor window. She was dressed up in her pearls today, maybe she's preparing for her Valentine's Day evening with her baby sitter tonight?

Trial Run

Madeline decided to give her nap-time pillow and blanket a test run this morning before we take it to school in a few weeks. I think she gave it two thumbs up!

Curls!

I finally got a good shot of Miss. Madeline's after-bath curls! Unfortunately, they end up falling out a few ours later, but maybe these curls will stick around when she gets a bit older? After all daddy had tight curls when he was a little guy!

Thank you Mamaw and Papaw Howe, and Grandma Ayres!

Madeline would like to send out a big THANK YOU, to Mamaw and Papaw Howe, and Grandma Ayres for the wonderful Valentine's Day gifts and cards!

THANK YOU!

Opening the package from Mamaw and Papaw

Annnnd two seconds later, eating the cookie from Mamaw and Papaw, that didn't take long!

Feelin' Crafty...

Here are the crafts that I've been working on the past couple of days...

Madeline's new step stool!

Checkin' it out...

And last, but certainly not least, the blanket, pillow cover, and taggie blanket that I made her for when she moves into the toddler room. *Sigh*

Back to normal!

The last few days have been quite interesting with Madeline. On Monday morning Madeline woke up with a fever of a little over 100, "insert frowny face." So, it was off to the pediatrician. And yes, they confirmed that she indeed had a fever, and on top of it, ANOTHER ear infection. What the heck? Didn't we just do this in December? Poor Madeline, she didn't feel great, but tried her best to play all day long. We started more antibiotics, and the Tylenol every 4-6 hours. The Tylenol did help to bring her fever down, but it didn't keep it down, on Tuesday, we woke up with yes, another fever. So we spent Tuesday at home as well.

By the time Wednesday rolled around, Madeline was doing much better, and her fever was down, unfortunately day care was closed! We got another 8 inches of snow yesterday, and everything was shut down. Boooooo! However, I welcomed another day stuck inside with my little girl. We even brought her lady bug tent into the upstairs living room! F-U-N!

I had time to do lot's of crafts too! I made a new step stool for Madeline, as well as a nap-time set for when she goes into the toddler room next month. A new pillow, blanket, and taggie all to match...photos later!

So yes, the past few days may not have been the best, but we made the best of them. I fully enjoyed all the time I got to spend with my little girl. :)

Supa Bowl Sunday!!!!!!!!!

Madeline had a busy Sunday goofing off with mom and dad. We weren't sure if we were going to be at home this weekend or not, so the snow was a welcome surprise for us to relax and hang out with each other :)

Hanging out in her chair and makeshift table (Footstool), and being silly!

So serious?

A new way to floss?

Getting caught doing something she knows she isn't supposed to!

What mom?

Snow Day!

Yesterday, like most of the northeast, we got dumped on with about 12-14 inches of snow! Nothing compared to D.C., but still enough to cause a pain with the shovel! Very pretty, and yes, I do love the snow, so I couldn't complain. We even got Madeline out for her first BIG snowstorm, and got to try out the sled she got for Christmas. Unfortunately I think the snow was a little too deep for our yard, we'll have to go elsewhere next time :)

Not too sure of what is going on....

Checking it out....

...and LIKING the snow :)

Getting buried with a little help from dad.

Trying out the sled....almost lost her for a second!

FUN!

Watching daddy work hard down below, from up on the porch!

Crafting our Valentines

Since our Valentine's are going in the mail today, I guess we can post about it. The other day Madeline came home from daycare and told me how much she wanted to make Valentine's for all of her friends and family! Here are a few photos of her crafting away, we have it covered up a bit in the photos so that we don't spoil the surprises!

I know you all are waiting in suspense to see what you get in the mail! :)

Caught ya!

Today I caught Miss. Madeline trying to wiggle her way through some very tight spaces. She wasn't thrilled that I stood there watching her, and didn't help her get back out...she has to learn some way right?

And then just a few minutes later, Madeline already had navigated her way over to her favorite place to play, the tiny space in between our wine fridges. She loves it in here! She shoves all of the containers of corks out and makes it her own. Go figure.
