Hello fall...we are ready for you.

Anyone who knows me, knows that fall is my favorite time of year...Absolutely hands down. I am patiently waiting for the leaves to change, the weather to cool down, apple cider and pumpkins to make their arrival, and FOOTBALL! Thank the lord Football is back...okay maybe it's just preseason, but still...FOOTBALL! Finally something fantastic to watch on Thursday, Saturday,Sunday, and Monday, that's four days of the week people!

And the past few days here in State College have been just what the doctor ordered for me...55-60 degrees at night, and 68-70 degrees during the day. Windows open, no sweating, and, drum roll please...online shopping! State College has very few stores and in turn, and no I am not happy about this, I've succumbed to ordering most of our clothing on line the last few years. Darn it. Anyway, I've been doing lots of fall shopping for Miss. Madeline and yesterday one of her big purchases came in the mail. New Uggs! We tried them on, and they are perfect! Madeline is ready to go when this chilly weather decides to stay. She loved them...wore them around the house for a good part of the evening. Unfortunately it really makes me want to buy another pair for myself. I....Must....Resist....We'll see how that goes.

My cute little model.

Adorable little Uggs...they make me smile.
Though not as much as the little girl who is wearing them :)

Colyer Lake, Take Two

On Saturday we headed back to Colyer lake to see if we could erase the trauma caused by our last trip. Okay, maybe I was the only one traumatized, but none-the-less we headed back. I am happy to report that we made it back with both dogs, one toddler, and all of the cameras! Mainly because I didn't take any camera's this time...just my phone. Whew! The girls all had a great time, Sadie took many trips into the lake to retrieve her frisbe, Hanna wandered around the waters edge, occasionally dipping in to cool off her toes, and Madeline had a blast throwing rocks...the entire time. I'm not kidding either. Looking forward to another trip back to the lake, especially when the leaves start to change :)

Tap, Tap, Tippity Tap

Since Madeline and Olivia's tap class starts in less than three weeks, and Olivia's little sister could be here any day (yay!), Kelly and I decided to take the girls to get their tap shoes this past Friday. We had a great lunch at Faccia Luna, and then headed to the Pysique Botique for their gear. Once we got the shoes on them, there was no stopping them. It was seriously the cutest thing ever. They ran around the store like the two little giddy girls that they are, and I could not stop smiling. Completely, completely adorable. Cannot wait to see these two in class together.

The cutest pair of size 6 patent leather Mary Jane tap shoes you will ever see in your life. I am NEVER throwing these out. :)

Sizing up the shoes.

Two VERY happy girls. And no, we didn't plan to dress them alike, but it worked out ;)

Annnnnd their off...

They loved looking at themselves in the mirror. Go figure.

Mommy and Madeline and their babies

The last post of Madeline with her baby reminded me of a photo from my childhood. I loved my baby, and it looks like Madeline does too.

Feeding baby

The other day Madeline was playing with her baby. So I asked her if she thought maybe baby was hungry and would like a bottle? She promptly answered yes, and since I don't have bottles down anymore, I got her a sippy cup for baby. She knew just what to do with it. Madeline fed baby and then kept asking for more for her. Then she took baby on a walk, and even stopped to make sure the sippy cup didn't fall. Too cute.

Checking on baby to make sure she has sippy cup.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This past Monday was Daddy's Birthday, I know I am a little late on posting this one. We had a busy day, and capped it off with cake and presents just before Madeline headed off to bed. She was great helping Brad blow out the candles. I think we might just have this birthday cake thing down by October!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Helping Daddy...

Taking a deep breath...

...and blowwwwww!

Watching daddy finish...since they kept relighting, blowing out candles is hard work! I swear I didn't buy them on purpose!

These Boots are Made for...

WINTER! Yikes! These are what Madeline wanted to wear the other day...oh boy. Don't you just love the band aids? Great fashion accessory for summer, fall, winter and spring!

Trip to Richmond-Part II

On our Saturday in Richmond we headed out to the mall with the outdoor fountains for Madeline! Mommy got in a little shopping, and Miss. Madeline got some fun-time in. She had an absolute blast running through these, though she wasn't too sure at first, by the end of the 30 minutes she was a pro! We capped off the weekend with a Sunday brunch at Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Dick's house in Fredericksburg. It was so nice of them to have us up for brunch, as we rarely make it out to their neck of the woods. Their house sits right on the Potomac River, and is absolutely gorgeous. They even had some special toys set up just for Madeline, which kept her very occupied. Yay! We had a great time, and fabulous company and then Madeline and I hit the road back to State College, a long drive, but well worth it!

Not too sure at first.

Fun with Uncle Mark, as always.

Not sure exactly what was going on here, but I am assuming she needed a rest.

Brunch at Aunt Marylin and Uncle Dick's!

Madeline hard at work with the new toy.

It turns into a desk too! Time for lunch!

And capping it all off with a little Alvin and the Chipmunks courtesy of daddy's PSP.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Third Anniversary to my amazing husband, who three years ago "put a pretty ring on one lovely finger," said "I do" and made me the happiest girl in the world. Happy Anniversary to the man I'll love forever.

WARNING!!!!

There's a fugitive on the loose!
Good thing she's pretty stinking cute, and can get away with most anything she does :)

Trip to Richmond-Part I

Madeline and I decided to pay a visit to Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mark this past weekend while daddy was away golfing (Hope you had fun daddy!). We arrived on Friday and headed strait for the pool! Madeline could not have been more happy, there were even lots of balls to play with! We then headed for a fabulous dinner, minus the cranky toddler at our table. On Saturday we headed to the children's museum in Richmond. Which is amazing! I wish we had one of these near us! Madeline had a blast playing around on all of the fun toys! We also headed to some cool fountains later that day, which will require a whole new post.

Slide!

Feeding the animals on the farm! Mooooooo

Milking the cow.

Driving an ambulance!

And even appearing on the news! Madeline did it all!

Aunt Sarah has rocks falling on her! Madeline isn't quite sure.

Fun with Uncle Mark and the water exhibit!

Colyer Lake with Madeline

About a week ago we took Madeline to Colyer lake with the puppies. It was the first time we had been back since we had Madeline, well at least for me. It was a gorgeous Sunday and I think both the puppies and Madeline had a fabulous time. Daddy showed her how to throw rocks into the lake, and the puppies got some much needed exercise.

Unfortunately the trip had a not-so-good ending...shortly after the last photo of Madeline below my camera plummeted to the ground and broke. Thank goodness it was just the lens, but it's still a pretty expensive ouch. Thank goodness I got a new one time to take with me on our visit to Richmond!

Walking to the lake with Daddy.

Taking it all in.

The "hike" up the hill before the disaster.

Broken lens *sniff, sniff,* if you look closely you can see the part of the camera lens hanging down inside. :( So sad.

Now and Then.

Can we please slow down time?
