Memorial Day Weekend 2012

For Memorial Day we packed up and headed to West Virginia. We haven't been back to Brad's parents since Avery was born! It was an awesome weekend visiting with everyone, swimming and enjoying the great weather and getting to relax for a bit. We can't wait to come back in July!

Beach Baby! 

She hated the pool, water was a bit too cold for her. 

Madeline on the other hand, loved it! She started swimming on her own in her water wings and even did some big jumps into the pool that put her way under the water! We didn't even ask her, she just started doing it! She's a fish!

Madeline with Grammy Howe and Papaw Bill. By the end of the weekend Papaw Bill had Madeline running into his arms celebrating his arrival at the house. So sweet.

Princess Bike

Soooooo, Daddy and Avery went to the store the other night and came home with a brand new princess bike for Madeline! What a surprise!! I think Momma was just as surprised as Madeline! She loves the bike, it has all of her favorite princesses and it even has a spot to put your baby in the front. Too cute. She is doing pretty well with it, minus the big spill we had at the park today. Madeline got some good road rash down her side, but happily hopped back on her back right after.

Flower Child

I've been showing Madeline how Momma used to play with the clover flowers when she was little. She loved the necklace and crown we made until she realized they are really fragile. Cute none-the-less.

Walking our Babies

Madeline and I have been doing a lot of walking with our babies. She's made it around the block twice now! Couldn't help but snap some photos of her walking her baby. I love it.

Morning time

On the weekends, or any day that we can get, we sleep in as late as we can, usually 7 am, and bring the babies into bed with us. Madeline usually watches a cartoon, Momma and Daddy either try to sleep a bit more or enjoy a cup of coffee while we wait for Avery to wake up. I adore weekends for these reasons. Anyway, here are some cute ones I've caught with Miss. Avery lately.

They are a bit of a mess, but this little girl loves them! She also loves puffs, goes nuts for them!

Chipped Tooth

A few weeks ago when we were at the park Madeline and a doggy had a bit of a clash. She went over to say hi and the doggy got a bit excited and well they smacked heads and Madeline was left with a chipped tooth, bloody lip and tears. Thankfully it didn't ruin her love for dogs.

We however headed to the dentist an hour later where she had the sharp edges on her tooth sanded down. :/ Madeline didn't flinch, she ran back to the dentist by herself and emerged with toys and smiles. This girl loves the dentist. Go figure. Happy to have a healthy report and a little lady with a bit more character to her smile.

6 Month Check Up for Avery

Today we headed out for Miss. Avery to have her 6 month check up with Dr. McCormic. As usual she did great and managed to give the doctor a few laughs. She showed off her sitting skills and took her shots like a champ. Yes, there was crying, but it all managed to disappear once Momma picked her up. Dr. McCormic kept saying what a happy baby she is and how content she seemed. Quite a change from her first three months. Ha.  Big sister Madeline was fabulous during the appointment as well and got rewarded with a sticker on her way out. Six month stats are as follows:

Weight: 16lb 11oz, 50th percentile
Length: 27.25 in, 90th percentile
Head: 43.6 cm, 60th percentile

One happy and healthy little lady.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today I got to celebrate being a Momma. Something that I've learned from one of the greatest Mommas in the world, my very own. Not sure how she did it. Just thinking about how she raised three girls on her own boggles my mind at the thought. She was the best role model and friend a girl and daughter could ever want and is still all of those today.

My babies spoiled me. My very first Momma's day with Avery Q, love her and my third with Madeline, adore her :) I am truly blessed to have such happy, healthy, rambunctious little girls in my life. So today, in the morning when the day was gorgeous, I got to do what I love most. Take photos of my little ladies. Enjoy, and Happy Mother's Day to all of my Momma friends and family! xxoo
