New Lens

Momma got a new lens a couple of weeks ago and boy does it take amazing photos. I'm in love with it, plus I'm booking tons of photo sessions with friends and family!

Fathers Day 2012

For father's day this year I decided to do a photo of the girls for him. I decided to write "we love you dad" on their feet and get a close up of their feet and them in the background. Madeline did a great job with holding Avery. It was really tough and I still can't believe I got the shot. :) It turned out amazing and we got some funny out-takes from it. I think daddy was surprised too.

Look momma, no hands! lol.

This one cracks me up.

Holding on to baby sister for dear life, I mean sisterly love :)

The finished product. Love. I don't think I'm ever taking this photo down.

Madeline's First Dance Recital

On Saturday, June 9th, Madeline had her very first dance recital. This year it was just tap, though after seeing her friend Olivia doing ballet, we might be adding that to the schedule next year. Madeline and her friends were adorable on stage with their teacher Miss. Meagan. Though most of them didn't do most of the dance, they did join in at the chorus and wiggle their hips. Their dance was to "When I grow up," by Shirley Temple. It was adorable and I could not have been more proud.

Goofing off before heading to the theatre.

Two hungry little dancers out to eat at the Corner Room after their show.

Avery Quinn, the wine

Right after Miss. Avery was born a package arrived in the mail for us. A box with several bottles of wine and not just any wine. Wine that was named AVERY QUINN!!! My sister Sarah found it down in Virginia and sent a few bottles our way. I'm just now finally getting them in the wine fridge so that we can taste them. How cute are they?

Not sure how many of you do this, but whenever we have special even we save the cork and write on it the date and what the even was for. We have corks going back to our engagement in 2006! I love looking at these corks and reliving all of those memories. So special :)

So proud!

Someone found her way to the railings in the hallway the other day, and boy was she proud of herself. On a side note, I'm also glad that I put her in the appropriate shirt this day, "I'm kind of a big deal." Ha. Love this little munchkin.

Happy 9 Months Avery Quinn!!

Happy 9 Months Big girl!!! And yes, I know I still need to post about your 8 month bithday, I figured I would start with where we are and then update as I can. It's obviously been a very busy summer!

So many things about you at 9 months: You started to crawl a few weeks ago, with one or two crawls and now you are everywhere! You have turned into an amazing eater! Forget the baby food, you are eating all kinds of big-kid food: Meatballs, penne pasta, peas, cheerio's, pizza, chicken, french fries, puffs, yogurt, grilled cheese, sweet potato, biscotti. You name it, you will eat it. Lets hope this keeps up! You never drink more than 6 ounces of you bottle, and that's if we are lucky! You got to bed anywhere between 6:30 and 7pm, but sometimes as early as 6 p.m. if you didn't nap well. Most nights you sleep until 5 a.m., then want a bottle and go back to sleep for another hour or two. You LOVE your big sister, and she loves you very much. Your face lights up when she walks in the room. You weigh around 18lbs and are size 3 diapers. Wearing mostly 6-12 and 9 month clothing, but some 12 month clothing is fitting! You are still a very happy baby, though you get board quickly with things and want to do something else after about 10 minutes. Madeline was the same way at this age. You love the water, bath and pool time are your favorite! You don't mind the car, and have become quite the traveler over the past few weeks: Hershey, Richmond, VA and Parkersburg, WV. Looking forward to seeing what month 10 has in store for us :) Love you Q-bug.

Shake YOUR Booty

Well I am glad that someone had fun last night at our friend's house! :) THIS is why Madeline is in dance class.

Double Trouble

First time in the double strollers with the girls facing each other. Madeline loved it and I think Avery did too, thought next time I think I'll have Madeline in the top one so she can see more. But it was great because Madeline could help entertain Avery if she got a little cranky. Love it. Oh and Momma loved that she got a 30 minute walk in pushing a good 45-50 lbs of weight. Yesssssssssssssssssss! Score one for Momma. :)

"When I Grow Up" Photos

My baby girl got all gussied up yesterday to get her pictures taken for her first-ever Dance recital. This is one proud Momma, who is probably going to lose it when she hits the stage next Saturday. She was so excited, she asked for curls and lip gloss, and of course we added a tiny bit of blush. How can I say no to this face?

Unfortunately, when she got in there for her picture she froze. I'll be surprised if it turns out with a smile. Oh well. It's the memory of it all that counts. Looking forward to her recital this Saturday night and seeing her perform with all of her friends to her song "When I Grown Up," by Shirley Temple :)

Backyard fun with QBug

While Big Sister was sleeping me and my QBug a.k.a Avery headed out back for a few photos. I just can't resist :)
