Last year due to our lack of space for a garden I planted tomatoes in pots, and they turned out great! So this year, I decided to give it a whirl again, and boy are they looking great! There is nothing quite like fresh tomatoes! I cannot wait to dig in on these bad boys, maybe with some mozzarella, and a bit of the fresh basil I have growing too! Yummo!
Madeline has been very in to watching movies lately. In fact we have watched Shrek 1&2 about 20 times, and Alvin and the Chipmunks about 20 times as well. So I decided to switch things up a bit and throw in some Christmas movies! We watched the cartoon "T'was the night before Christmas," a favorite of mine and Aunt Sarah's, and then watched most of "The Grinch." We even made chocolate chip cookies with red and green kisses mixed in! After all what is Christmas without cookies?
Relaxing watching "The Grinch." Can you see her arms are up behind her head? Ha.
The burp cloths that I started making with my mom are now for sale! After hearing everyone tell me for the last two years that I should be seeling them, I am! Visit Spela, in State College, to purchase your Chic Burp Cloths by Amanda J Designs, 2 for $15 and 3 for $20. The owner loved them and infact purchased a pack for herself! Get them while they're hot!

They are a lot like these, though a different fabric... these are the ones I made for my little Madeline. :)
The Fourth of July was a busy weekend!! Brad and I had just returned from Eleuthra, and Mamaw, Papaw, and Uncle Justin were nice enough to drive back to State College with Madeline for the weekend. It was a tad hot, but the company and the fireworks could not have been better! We started off with a little swimming, then some barbecue, a carnival and capped it off with one of the best firework shows around! Madeline could not have cared less about the fire works...at one point she even put her head down on her stroller. Go figure.
Swimming at the club with Mamaw!
Great times with Uncle Justin :)Madeline adores him.
Fun in the back yard.
First sparkler! She was great, and yes, we were right next to her.
Riding the train with daddy at the carnival!
F-U-N!
Madeline and Mommy.
Trying her first Hawaiian shaved ice. She hated it. *sigh*
In June we also had Oliva's 2nd Birthday party at Spela Cafe in State College. The kids had lots of fun running around and playing and then had pizza, and JELLO! Everyone had a blast and it was great to help Oliva ring in the big 2!
Special thank you to Aunt Sarah for kindly reminding us that we are lagging a bit in our posting. Ahem. Last month we took Madeline to her second Spikes game with our great friends Al and Jodi! They were kind enough to take Madeline to her First Spike game last year, if you remember (if not, click on the link to see how much she has changed *Sigh*). She had a great time hanging out, Oliva and her parents joined us, and she even got to meet Ike the Spike! It was so much fun, we cannot wait to go back.
Baby Bradby is on the way!!! And I could not be more excited! We found out the amazing news about two weeks ago, and now that the close friends, family and bosses have all been notified, I am finally allowed to announce it on the blog! I cannot wait to be an auntie again. Sarah has been feeling great, not really any morning sickness and has been able to keep up with her normal routine. Thank goodness! Baby Bradby is Due January 2, 2011 (Maybe we'll have a New Year's Baby or mabye he/she will be born on Momma's Birthday, December 19th!)...grow baby "B" grow! I cannot wait to meet you, and Madeline has lot's she wants to teach you!
On June 26th Brad and I headed to Harrisburg to celebrate Bridget and Conor's big day! It was a gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple, a tad hot, but thankfully nothing like this heatwave we've got now! It was a fabulous wedding and a great day to catch up with some very dear friends, old and new. Hopefully we can all get together again soon. Love you all.
Just got back into town from Sunny and Hot Eleuthra Island in the Bahamas! It's great to be back and even better to hold our baby girl in our arms again. We had a long week away from Miss. Madeline, first Bridget and Conor's Wedding in Harrisburg, and then a vacation for my 30th Birthday! We were lucky to have Brad's parents watch Madeline while we were away, and from the photos and videos we've seen they all had a great time. Hope to get photos from the wedding, vacation, Madeline's time with Mamaw, Papaw and Uncle Justin, as well as the 4th of July! Whew I've got some catching up to do.
Our spots on the beach for 4.5 days. No one to the left for at least one mile, no one to the right for at least one mile, crystal clear water, pink sand beaches, and the love of my life next to me. Who could ask for more?
