I guess I am still catching up on all of my Haloween and Birthday posts. Yikes! The Tuesday before trick-or-treat night the Penn State All Sports Museum had their trick-or-treat night, where all of the kids get to go in and get candy from all of the student athletes! So fun! The kids had a blast and we definitely got our wear out of this year's costume!
Super "O" and Dorothy waiting in line.
Walking in!
Kelly and Baby Isabel, the kitty.
Marlena and Max, little monkey!
Asking mommy or daddy to please sit down!
Dave and Zach, the athlete!
Dirty Heisman.
Spooky Hockey Player.
Candy Please, we didn't quite have "Trick-or-Treat" down for this year.
This one's for Aunt Sarah.
Checking out the goods.
Not so sure of the Nittany Lion.
Annnd this is how the night ended...on our way up to bath time. Ha.
Since I am posting photos of Miss. Ellie, I had to post these photos of little Max I got at our play date the other week. So beautiful. I cannot stop staring at him! Gorgeous.
By the way, did I mention that this little guy was born on my birthday? Can he get any more perfect? : )
About a week ago, Madeline and I got to watch baby Ellie while her mommy went to the dentist! I thought for sure Madeline would be in love with her since she cannot stop playing with her own babies. Sadly Madeline was more interested in her movies. Oh well. We kept Ellie nice and wide awake, hopefully she slept well for her mommy for the rest of the afternoon! We also got some great photos of her adorable cheeks and bright blue eyes! Can't wait to watch her again!
Madeline giving Ellie a kiss.
Helping mommy and throwing away the dirty diaper :)
On Friday Madeline and I headed to the Pediatricians for her annual check up! I couldn't wait to see how she was measuring up, and hopefully gaining weight. Ha.
Stats: 34 inches Tall = 60% 24 lbs = 16%, though I have to add that they weighed her with all of her clothes on this time. So I think we got a few extra ounces. But who cares, we are out of the 5th percentile. yay!
In addition to one routine shot, we also got our flu shot. Let's hope we can all stay happy and healthy this flu season :)
Tonight was Trick-or-Treat, and of course we got madeline all dolled up for the occassion! Dorothy a.k.a Madeline even brought her pink puppy dog along for the ride. Before we left I pulled out my brown vest to wear. I guess I hadn't worn it since last fall, because I found a ticket to the Indiana game and a pink pacifier! It kind of made me sad. My Madeline is 2 years old. Last year at this time she was still taking a night-time bottle and a pacifier. Still a little bit of a baby, and now I have a big girl. Please, let's put time on pause, or at least slow it down a little bit.
Trick-or-treating went over really well this year. Madeline really got the hang of it, and by the time we pulled up to the 3rd house she was giggling her evil little laugh the whole way up to the door. Can't wait to see what next year will be like, though it can take as long as it wants to get here ;)
Ticket and paci. Where did my little girl go?
All bundled up ready to go...by the end of the night she was in a polar fleece!
Stand up to meet crazy, singing, camera yielding mommy in the morning!
Decide I am NOT ready to wake up and fall back down, in attempts to escape crazy mommy.
Find my new tea set and play desserts, on my new table!
And LOVE them :)
Head to school, come home and take a nap.
Wake up, get dressed for tap class, and watch my new Tinkerbell Movie, which had me very serious!
Head outside to play for a bit before tap.
Have LOT'S of FUN!
Head to the club for dinner with Daddy and mommy. Stop to say "hi" to some of the spooky monsters!
This little guy scared the bejesus out of me when he moved!
Madeline enjoyed her big dinner, and proceeded to run around the club with Food and Beverage Manager, Lisa. :) All in all a good day, and a GREAT 2nd Birthday.
Happy 2nd Birthday to my beautiful daughter who every day makes my life happier, brighter and more full of love than I could have ever imagined. Looking forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you. Though maybe we could slow them down a bit, this is all happening way too fast. :)
This weekend we had Madeline's 2nd birthday party. Oh my, do I really have a two-year-old?!? It's crazy how fast time is flying. Madeline and her friends had a great time on Saturday enjoying the fabulous weather and goodies! We had guests ranging from a butterfly to a tiger! The guest of honor went as Dorothy, since we already had Toto, it was an easy selection. More photos to come later, but here is a preview. (Photos courtesy of Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mark, since I couldn't get any of Madeline in her costume!)
Since Madeline's big Birthday bash is this weekend, I decided that it would be a good idea to get a jump on some of the decorations! After nap we got to work on Madeline's very own pumpkin. Madeline had fun helping me put all of the pieces on Mr. Pumpkin, though I do think she decided it was a girl. She loves it! This morning she woke up and ran to the kitchen table with "OHHHHHH!" and then promptly followed it up with "Hiiii, Hiiii!" and a wave of course.
Getting ready!
Giving the pumpkin a hug, after all "we are going to be friends, right?"
Now what am I supposed to do with this stuff again?
Ohhhh, I get it!
Half way there! Three more legs to put on Miss. Spider Pumpkin.
Clearly Madeline and Miss. Spider Pumpkin had some very important things to discus after assembly.
