Thank you Mamaw and Papaw Howe, and Grandma Ayres!

Madeline would like to send out a big THANK YOU, to Mamaw and Papaw Howe, and Grandma Ayres for the wonderful Valentine's Day gifts and cards!

THANK YOU!

Opening the package from Mamaw and Papaw

Annnnd two seconds later, eating the cookie from Mamaw and Papaw, that didn't take long!

Feelin' Crafty...

Here are the crafts that I've been working on the past couple of days...

Madeline's new step stool!

Checkin' it out...

And last, but certainly not least, the blanket, pillow cover, and taggie blanket that I made her for when she moves into the toddler room. *Sigh*

Back to normal!

The last few days have been quite interesting with Madeline. On Monday morning Madeline woke up with a fever of a little over 100, "insert frowny face." So, it was off to the pediatrician. And yes, they confirmed that she indeed had a fever, and on top of it, ANOTHER ear infection. What the heck? Didn't we just do this in December? Poor Madeline, she didn't feel great, but tried her best to play all day long. We started more antibiotics, and the Tylenol every 4-6 hours. The Tylenol did help to bring her fever down, but it didn't keep it down, on Tuesday, we woke up with yes, another fever. So we spent Tuesday at home as well.

By the time Wednesday rolled around, Madeline was doing much better, and her fever was down, unfortunately day care was closed! We got another 8 inches of snow yesterday, and everything was shut down. Boooooo! However, I welcomed another day stuck inside with my little girl. We even brought her lady bug tent into the upstairs living room! F-U-N!

I had time to do lot's of crafts too! I made a new step stool for Madeline, as well as a nap-time set for when she goes into the toddler room next month. A new pillow, blanket, and taggie all to match...photos later!

So yes, the past few days may not have been the best, but we made the best of them. I fully enjoyed all the time I got to spend with my little girl. :)

Supa Bowl Sunday!!!!!!!!!

Madeline had a busy Sunday goofing off with mom and dad. We weren't sure if we were going to be at home this weekend or not, so the snow was a welcome surprise for us to relax and hang out with each other :)

Hanging out in her chair and makeshift table (Footstool), and being silly!

So serious?

A new way to floss?

Getting caught doing something she knows she isn't supposed to!

What mom?

Snow Day!

Yesterday, like most of the northeast, we got dumped on with about 12-14 inches of snow! Nothing compared to D.C., but still enough to cause a pain with the shovel! Very pretty, and yes, I do love the snow, so I couldn't complain. We even got Madeline out for her first BIG snowstorm, and got to try out the sled she got for Christmas. Unfortunately I think the snow was a little too deep for our yard, we'll have to go elsewhere next time :)

Not too sure of what is going on....

Checking it out....

...and LIKING the snow :)

Getting buried with a little help from dad.

Trying out the sled....almost lost her for a second!

FUN!

Watching daddy work hard down below, from up on the porch!

Crafting our Valentines

Since our Valentine's are going in the mail today, I guess we can post about it. The other day Madeline came home from daycare and told me how much she wanted to make Valentine's for all of her friends and family! Here are a few photos of her crafting away, we have it covered up a bit in the photos so that we don't spoil the surprises!

I know you all are waiting in suspense to see what you get in the mail! :)

Caught ya!

Today I caught Miss. Madeline trying to wiggle her way through some very tight spaces. She wasn't thrilled that I stood there watching her, and didn't help her get back out...she has to learn some way right?

And then just a few minutes later, Madeline already had navigated her way over to her favorite place to play, the tiny space in between our wine fridges. She loves it in here! She shoves all of the containers of corks out and makes it her own. Go figure.

Silly Sunday...

15 Month Check up

On Friday morning we had our 15 month check up with Dr. Kauffman. He was very nice. Madeline is chugging along right on schedule with just about everything, though we are still working on getting the words to come out right. We'll get there, it's just taking time.

Here are her current stats:

Weight: 19lbs, 14 oz - 10th percentile
Height: 30.5 inches - 60th percentile

She stayed just about the same in everything. Dropped a bit lower in the weight category, and a little in the height, but overall one happy, healthy baby!

Pig Tails!!!

I finally got the nerve to try putting Madeline's hair into pigtails! I propped her in front of her mirror, so that she could entertain herself. Just lately she loves looking at herself in the mirror. It's quite hilarious really, she gets all giddy and grins from ear to ear! It gave me just enough time to get her hair into piggy tails! It turned out sooooooo cute. Now whether they are in when I pick her up from daycare is another story. But cute for now!

Had to get a shot of the back.

Yee-Haw!

It looks like Madeline and Daddy had more fun this weekend than I thought! When I plugged my camera into my computer to upload these photos I found these cute cowgirl pictures! This hat has been in my office for a few years now, and Madeline has always liked playing with it. Looks like she embraced her inner cowgirl again this weekend. Yee-Haw!

Silly Cowgirl.

Pretty Dress

Had to grab a few photos of Miss. Madeline in one of the pretty dresses from Grandma Ayres. This is another dress that Grandma bought for her when she was only a few weeks old. It fits her perfectly now!

Trying to climb the stairs with her new best friend, thanks Hope and Ross, and quickly discovering that it's a bit difficult. Oh and this puppy, she seriously carries around every where now! Too cute!

More bath fun!

Clearly, I have a lot of fun with Madeline and her bath time. She loves the water, so we let her have nice long baths! I love playing with her hair and giving her silly updos. Well, the other night I got a bit carried away with the foam soap...I thought it would be fun to see what she looks like with long hair. HA!

This is what I call her "surfin' do."

Long hair do up :) I laugh every time I look at this photo. It cracks me up! I even took Madeline out of the tub so she could see herself. She wasn't amused. Go figure.

Just Because

I took this photo back in November, but never had a chance to post it. My Madeline is turning into such a big girl. She knows just when to smile for the camera.

A new way to read

The other week before bath time, Madeline decided she wanted to read, and this is how she wanted it done...Silly girl.

Coloring

Again, the quality isn't the best, but Madeline was coloring the other night and I had to grab a photo. Too bad she liked eating the crayons more than coloring with them. I guess we have to keep at it. :)

Adorable Dress

This photo isn't the best, because I took it on my cell phone, but I had to try to get a photo of Madeline in this cute Dress and matching leggings. When I tried to get her to stop so I could take her photos, this is what she did. Ha ha.

Chef Madeline

Yesterday was a cold and blustery day here in State College, with the windchill the temperature fell to -15 degrees. Yikes! So, Madeline and I decided it would be a perfect day for some cooking and baking. We started off with homemade tomato sauce, and we are now stocked up for the winter, and finished with some chocolate chip cookies for daddy. Okay, maybe it wasn't an entire day, but it was several hours. :) Madeline had a blast playing with the bowls and mini spatula. She carried them around for hours playing and stirring, looks like maybe we should have gotten her a kitchen for Christmas. She even got to taste some of the cookie dough!

Starting out, yes, we wore PJs all day...too cold to wear anything else. :)

Mixing, Mixing and mixing!

Adding some fruit, veggies and eggs to the mix. We assumed she was making carrot cake?

Tasting...pretend.

Tasting for real! Thanks dad!

YUMMO!!!!
